Freightender and Pagero partner to offer seamless end-to-end process for freight buyers

February 25th, 2021

The joint offering integrates both company apps to provide an “unprecedented array” of logistics functionalities for buyers in the transportation industry.

Freightender and Pagero have entered a partnership to provide a seamless supply chain solution for buyers in the freight industry. The partnership lets customers access the joint offering through smooth technical integration of both companies’ apps.

Freightender and Pagero partner

Pagero is a leading network and TMS app provider focusing on the planning, execution, settlement, and analytics of the transportation process. Freightender is a leading provider of procurement and sourcing tools for transportation buyers.

The transport industry is currently undergoing a strong push towards digitalisation. Supply chains are becoming more connected through open, many-to-many networks, creating higher automation, quality and efficiency whilst reducing environmental impact. Traditionally, holistic and digital supply chain efforts were dictated by cumbersome and costly enterprise application implementations, hence limiting these capabilities to only the largest global companies. New architecture and the design of truly open and scalable networks, combined with capable and standardised cloud-based applications, mean these old truths are rapidly changing.

Seamless end-to-end freight buying

“The logistics technology landscape is experiencing its biggest change ever and we want to be part of it. Partnering with Pagero is important for us to strengthen our position in the Nordics as well as become an extension of their TMS solution. Good tender data is imperative to a well-functioning TMS and vice versa, which is why I am excited that we can deliver more value to the Pagero customer base while offering our customers a seamless solution from sourcing to managing freight operations,” says Pieter Kinds, CEO of Freightender.

“Freight buyers of the 21st Century are more likely to find similarities to a smartphone and associated apps in the way they commission and consume IT than was the case just a few years back. Partnering with best-of-breed apps and enabling them on our platform gives our customers an unprecedented array of functionalities in record implementation lead time and with quicker returns on investment. Freightender is the latest addition to our platform and strengthens our holistic TMS offering to present and future customers,” adds Andreas Grundsell, VP of Pagero Transportation Management.
